T-ara (/tiˈɑːrə/; Korean: 티아라) is a South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by MBK Entertainment (formerly known as Core Contents Media). Their current and most well-known lineup features Boram, Qri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon. T-ara’s career is marked by hook-heavy dance music, a result of their close partnership with composer Shinsadong Tiger; and an array of visual styles and concepts, typically “camp” in nature.

Fiestar (Korean: 피에스타) is a South Korean girl group formed by LOEN Entertainment in 2012. The group originally composed of six members: Jei, Cao Lu, Linzy, Hyemi, Yezi and Cheska. Member Cheska officially departed from the group in March 2014. The group released their debut single, Vista on August 31, 2012.

Rainbow was a South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by DSP Media. The group consisted of seven members: Woori, Seungah, Jaekyung, Noeul, Yoonhye, Jisook and Hyunyoung. They released their debut mini album Gossip Girl on November 12, 2009. On October 27, 2016 the group was officially confirmed to disband after all members decided to not renew their contracts.

Formed in 2011 by The Entertainment Pascal,[fn 1] the group attracted attention as they were initially produced by Eric Mun of the boy band Shinhwa.[1] Following an unsuccessful debut with the single “Rocket Girl” in August 2011, Stellar underwent a line-up change and released “UFO” in February 2012, which fared similarly.

The group unexpectedly gained success after their 2014 single “Up & Down”, which did not chart well upon initial release reached number one on the Gaon Singles Chart four months later, when a fan-recording of one of EXID’s performances of the song became a viral video.
